Tyler James Williams to Star in “Amber Alert” Thriller Opposite Hayden Panettiere

Tyler James Williams to Co-Star in Lionsgate's Thriller "Amber Alert"

In an exclusive deal, Lionsgate has acquired the worldwide rights to the upcoming thriller “Amber Alert,” featuring Golden Globe winner Tyler James Williams and led by Golden Globe nominee Hayden Panettiere.

Currently in post-production, “Amber Alert” transforms an ordinary ride-share into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The plot centers around Jaq (Hayden Panettiere), excited for her first day at a new job, and her driver, Shane (Tyler James Williams), looking to earn extra income. Their lives take an unexpected turn when an alert about a child abduction appears on their phones, leading them to a car matching the kidnapper’s description. Fueled by the determination to stop a potential child trafficker, they embark on a pursuit that jeopardizes their own safety.

Directed by Kerry Bellessa, who also co-wrote the film with Joshua Oram, “Amber Alert” boasts a production team including Joseph Restaino, Tony Stopperan of Hungry Bull Productions, Summer and Kerry Bellessa of Bluefields Entertainment, and Leal Naim. The film is co-financed by Hungry Bull Productions and Three Point Capital, with Panettiere and Williams serving as executive producers. Lionsgate is set to handle the domestic release.

Hungry Bull Productions, recognized for the critically acclaimed “Pig” starring Nicolas Cage and Alex Wolff, has a track record that includes “Passing” on Netflix and Lionsgate productions like “The Lady of the Manor” and the thriller “Fear of Rain.”

“Amber Alert” marks Hayden Panettiere’s second project post “Scream VI” and her Golden Globe-nominated role in ABC’s “Nashville.” Tyler James Williams, celebrated for his performances in “Abbott Elementary,” “The United States vs. Billie Holiday,” and “Dear White People,” adds his talent to this suspenseful ride.

Panettiere is represented by Mainstay Entertainment, Independent Artists Group, and Hansen, Jacobson, while Williams is represented by The Gersh Agency and Hansen, Jacobson.
