Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo’s latest comedy series, UnPrisoned, has set a new record as the most-watched Hulu Original scripted series in 2023 in terms of hours watched. It also has become Onyx Collective’s most-watched Hulu premiere to date. Although Hulu did not disclose specific viewing metrics, the premium content brand’s inaugural comedy series has become a hit among audiences.

UnPrisoned follows the story of relationship therapist and single mom, Paige Alexander, whose life takes a dramatic turn when her father, Edwin Alexander, is released from prison and moves in with her and her teenage son. The series, which stars Jordyn McIntosh and Marque Richardson alongside Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo, has been praised for its compelling characters and relatable storylines.
Onyx Collective focuses on curating programming by creators of color, and UnPrisoned is no exception. The series has been executive produced by Tracy McMillan, Yvette Lee Bowser, Kerry Washington, Pilar Savone, and Delroy Lindo. All eight episodes of the series are now available for streaming on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories.
