Viola Davis Takes on Action-Packed Role as U.S. President in Prime Video’s G20 [TRAILER]

Viola Davis is ready to dominate the action genre in Prime Video’s G20, where she stars as U.S. President Danielle Sutton. The trailer for the upcoming high-stakes thriller promises a gripping story filled with intense action, global politics, and Davis delivering a powerhouse performance as a leader fighting to protect her family and the world’s most powerful leaders.

Directed by Patricia Riggen, G20 follows President Sutton during a summit in Cape Town that takes a deadly turn when armed forces seize control. With her family by her side and world leaders in immediate danger, Sutton must outmaneuver her enemies to protect lives on every front.

Anthony Anderson plays her husband, Derek Sutton, with Marsai Martin as their daughter Serena Sutton and Christopher Farrar as Demetrius Sutton. The rest of the cast includes Ramón Rodríguez as Agent Manny Ruiz, Elizabeth Marvel as Joanna Worth, Sabrina Impacciatore, Douglas Hodge, and Antony Starr.

“This is Viola Davis as you’ve never seen her—heroically kicking tons of ass in a global thrill ride,” said director Patricia Riggen.

The film was written by Logan and Noah Miller, with revisions from Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss. Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon, produced under their JuVee Productions banner, alongside Andrew Lazar and Mad Chance Productions. Described as an emotional action film, G20 is packed with intense fight scenes and a personal story that centers on protecting the people who matter most.

G20 streams on Prime Video April 10 and will be available in over 240 countries and territories.
