Yaya DaCosta and Melanie Liburd Among Leads for Hulu Comedy Pilot ‘Group Chat’

Yaya DaCosta and Melanie Liburd have been tapped to star in Hulu’s upcoming comedy pilot Group Chat, alongside Rebecca Rittenhouse, Stephanie Suganami, and previously announced lead La La Anthony.

Loosely inspired by Anthony’s bestselling book The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness, Group Chat is a satirical comedy about six successful women in their forties who look like they’ve mastered life in Los Angeles. But the truth lives inside their private group chat—the raw, messy, and hilarious heart of their friendship.

Kim Kardashian, fresh off her upcoming Hulu drama All’s Fair, will narrate the series and make a guest appearance. The project also marks her first under her first-look deal with 20th Television.

The pilot is executive produced by La La Anthony, Kim Kardashian, and Kenya Barris through his Khalabo Ink Society banner. 20th Television (Disney TV Studios) produces the comedy in collaboration with BET Studios.
