This holiday season brings a special reunion for Sister, Sister fans as Tia Mowry and RonReaco Lee team up once again, starring in Lifetime’s upcoming original movie, A Very Merry Beauty Salon. The film, which is part of Mowry’s three-picture deal with the network, has officially received the green light. Joining the cast are Donna Biscoe, Cocoa Brown, and Ashli Auguillard, rounding out a stellar ensemble.
The movie follows Sienna, played by Mowry ,who is also executive producer, the proud owner of Divine Beauty Salon. As the salon’s team prepares for the city’s annual Tinsel Ball, an unexpected twist comes in the form of Lawrence (Lee), a dashing CEO who enters Sienna’s life just in time for the holidays. But as sparks fly between them, Sienna’s mother, Georgia (Biscoe), who oversees the Ball’s planning, has her reservations about Lawrence’s involvement. Will the budding romance between Sienna and Lawrence make the Tinsel Ball a night to remember, or will tradition get in the way?
The film is not only a reunion for Mowry and Lee but also a fresh holiday romance that promises drama, charm, and plenty of holiday magic.
Brown stars as Miss Kimmy and Auguillard as Ella, both playing lively hairdressers who add humor and heart to the beauty salon atmosphere.
The Very Merry Beauty Salon is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios’ MarVista Entertainment in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment. The movie is directed by Bobby Yan and written by Tara Knight. Tia Mowry, along with Adam Griffin and Mychael Chinn, serves as an executive producer, ensuring her creative influence extends beyond her starring role.
This movie joins Lifetime’s expanding holiday lineup, which already includes The Holiday Junkie starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Christmas in the Spotlight featuring Jessica Lord and Jennie Mai. Lifetime’s full holiday schedule will be revealed soon.
