Aaron Pierre is set to star in Love of Your Life, the upcoming romantic drama from Amazon MGM Studios, joining previously cast Margaret Qualley and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Directed by Oscar-nominated Black Panther cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Rachel Morrison, the film is produced by Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson under their banner, Open Invite Entertainment.
Written by Julia Cox (Nyad), Love of Your Life follows a grieving young widow, played by Qualley, who embarks on a soul-searching journey after the sudden death of her husband. While specific character details are being kept under wraps, sources confirm Schwarzenegger will portray an old friend and former flame, with Pierre set for a pivotal co-starring role. Production is slated to begin this August in various European locations.
Aaron Pierre’s Momentum Continues
The casting marks another major milestone in a breakout run for Pierre. In 2024 alone, he delivered a critically acclaimed performance in Netflix’s Rebel Ridge, a hit thriller that earned him both a Gotham TV Award for “Outstanding Performance in an Original Film” and an NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special.”
Pierre’s momentum continued with his voice role as Mufasa in Barry Jenkins’ Mufasa: The Lion King, which grossed over $700 million globally. He’s also starring as John Stewart in HBO’s highly anticipated Lanterns series, currently in production, and joined the cast of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show for its upcoming season.
Additional credits include Genius: MLK/X, Brother, Foe, and Jenkins’ Emmy-winning The Underground Railroad. He is represented by WME, Anonymous Content, Hamilton Hodell, and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
