Scribner joins a cast that includes Donnie Wahlberg, Sonequa Martin-Green, Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson, and Gloria Reuben. The series is set to premiere this fall, taking over Blue Bloods’ longtime Friday night slot and expanding the franchise with a fresh city, new characters, and layered family dynamics.

In Boston Blue, Wahlberg reprises his role as NYPD detective Danny Reagan, who accepts a new position with the Boston PD. Once there, he’s partnered with Detective Lena Silver (Martin-Green), a third-generation cop from a prominent blended family of law enforcement professionals.

Scribner’s Jonah is the confident youngest sibling in the Silver family. While his cool demeanor and charm helped him stand out growing up, those same traits are now tested by his role as a rookie officer stuck on the sidelines. With a detective for a sister (Martin-Green’s Lena), a police superintendent for a stepsister (Lawson’s Sarah Silver), and a district attorney for a mother (Reuben’s Mae Silver), Jonah struggles to find his own path—and authority—amid a family where power and legacy run deep.

The Silver family is rounded out by Ernie Hudson as Reverend Peters, the family’s patriarch and a revered Boston pastor whose presence anchors the family in community values and moral clarity. Reverend Peters is Mae’s father and grandfather to Lena, Sarah, and Jonah—each of whom serve the city in different capacities but all carry the family name into every decision.

The series, written and executive produced by Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis (The Blacklist), is directed and executive produced by Anthony Hemingway (Power, The Wire, Genius: Aretha). Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed, and Wahlberg also serve as executive producers.
