Your Guide to Fall TV: ABC Announces 2024 Fall Premiere Dates For New Shows and Returning Favorites

ABC 2024 Fall Premiere

ABC’s fall schedule includes a mix of new and returning shows.

Among the highlights are long-running favorites ‘9-1-1’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ anchor the lineup, returning for their eighth and record-breaking 21st seasons respectively. Both shows return on Thursdays starting September 26th.

However, the Fall slate isn’t all about familiar faces. Newcomer ‘High Potential,’ a drama starring Kaitlin Olson, premieres September 17th. The new series is based on the popular French detective series HPI (Haut Potentiel Intellectuel) from Drew Goddard and ABC Signature. The series is led by Kaitlin Olson and Daniel Sunjata with Javicia Leslie, Judy Reyes, Deniz Akdeniz, and Amirah J rounding out the cast.

Written by Goddard, the remake centers on Morgan (Olson), a single mom with three kids and an exceptional mind who helps solve an unsolvable crime when she rearranges some evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department. When they discover she has a knack for putting things in order because of her high intellectual potential she is brought on as a consultant to work with a by-the-book seasoned detective, Karadec (Sunjata), and together they form an unusual and unstoppable team.

‘High Potential’ is one of four new shows ABC will debut this fall season.

And for those who love a good laugh, Emmy-nominated comedy “Abbott Elementary” is back for a fourth season on October 9th.
