Adrienne Wells Joins Showtimes’ Black Monday For Season 3

Adrienne Wells joins the cast of Showtime’s 80s Wall Street comedy series Black Monday for its third season. She will star in a recurring capacity alongside Thomas Barbusca who also joins.

Wells will play Nomi, a self-possessed young talent with the voice to prove it, who quickly becomes the crown jewel in the new business venture of Mo (Don Cheadle). Barbusca will play Werner, a Young Republican assigned as an aide on the congressional staff of Blair (Andrew Rannells). Werner is more ambitious and less sycophantic than he initially seems.

Created by David Caspe and Jordan Cahan, “Black Monday” chronicles the 31st anniversary of the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. To this day, no one knows exactly who caused the Oct. 19, 1987, stock market crash — until now. Join some outsiders as they take on the blue-blood club of Wall Street. Join them as they cause the crashing of the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, the glass ceiling, and Don Henley’s birthday party.

Regina Hall and Paul Scheer also star in the series.

The 10-episode third season is a co-production between Showtime and Sony Pictures Television. The series is executive produced by Caspe and Cahan, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Cheadle. Rannells and Hall are producers.

The third season of Black Monday premieres May 23rd at at 10 p.m.
