Variety has revealed that Alfre Woodard is set to join the cast of the upcoming Apple TV+ drama series, ‘The Last Frontier.’
The series, which has received a 10-episode order from Apple, also stars Jason Clarke, Haley Bennett, Dominic Cooper, Simone Kessell, Tait Blum, and Dallas Goldtooth from “Reservation Dogs.” The storyline revolves around US Marshal Frank Remnick, portrayed by Jason Clarke, who faces challenges in the wild terrains of Alaska after a prison transport plane crashes, releasing violent inmates into the remote wilderness.

Woodard will play the role of Bradford, a top leader in the CIA.
Joining Woodard in the CIA ranks is Haley Bennett, playing Sidney, a CIA agent assigned to collaborate with Frank. Meanwhile, Dallas Goldtooth steps into the role of Hutch, Frank’s trusted deputy in the Alaskan outpost.
This marks Woodard’s second collaboration with Apple, following her role in the sci-fi drama “See” alongside Jason Momoa, which enjoyed a successful three-season run.
“The Last Frontier” is created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, with Clarke serving as an executive producer. The pilot will be directed by Sam Hargrave, who also holds an executive producer role. The series is produced by Apple Studios, promising an exciting addition to the Apple TV+ lineup.
