The first trailer for All American Season 7 is here, and it brings a sense of déjà vu as it echoes the series’ pilot. This time, it’s Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling), now the coach at South Crenshaw High, stepping into a mentorship role reminiscent of his father Billy Baker. Jordan extends an offer to Khalil, a troubled student played by newly promoted series regular Antonio J. Bell, with the line: “What would you say if I wanted you to come play for me?” Khalil’s answer, however, remains a mystery for now.
The upcoming season marks a significant shift as the show returns its focus to high school life at Beverly Hills High and South Crenshaw High. According to the official logline, Season 7 revisits the roots of the series: “It’s the same heart, same NFL dream, same crosstown rivalry, same messy hormones, ushered in by a new generation of LA teens, a new Beverly coach, and our OG vortex fam, who are surprised to find they’re supposed to be the responsible adults now.”
Season 7 introduces fresh faces, including Osy Ikhile (Citadel, Black Mirror) as Beverly’s new football coach Cassius Jeremy and Nathaniel McIntyre (David Makes Man) as his quarterback son, Kingston Jeremy. Their arrival creates tension, mirroring earlier seasons’ dynamics.
The cast expansion continues with Lauryn Hardy, Terayle Hill, and Sasha Lance, who will recur throughout the 13-episode season. Hardy portrays Tori, Beverly’s competitive head cheerleader and a quick ally to Kingston. Hill plays Marqui Edwards, Khalil’s father, whose volatile nature complicates their already fraught relationship. Lance joins as Breonna Strong, a confident law professor who challenges Coop (Bre-Z) to explore new possibilities.
Returning series regulars include Michael Evans Behling (Jordan), Greta Onieogou (Layla), and Bre-Z (Coop) with Kareem Grimes (Preach) recurring. However, the show undergoes a reset following the departure of original stars Daniel Ezra (Spencer) and Samantha Logan (Olivia). Both characters wrapped their arcs with a wedding in Season 6 but are slated for guest appearances, with Ezra also stepping behind the camera to direct episodes.
Other series regular departures include Cody Christian (Asher), Karimah Westbrook (Grace), Monét Mazur (Laura), and Chelsea Tavares (Patience). Alexis Chikaeze, who plays Grace’s daughter, also steps into a larger role this season.
All American returns with a special sneak peek on wednesday, JAN. 29, at 8 PM before settling into its regular time slot on monday, FEB. 3.
The series, produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and CBS Studios, continues under showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, alongside executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and others.
Season 7 looks to combine nostalgia with fresh energy, setting the stage for a new chapter in the lives of the All American universe’s beloved characters.
