Amanda Warren Joins ‘The Night Agent’ Season 2 as Series Regular

Amanda Warren, who most recently starred opposite Jamie Foxx in Maggie Betts’ legal drama “The Burial,” now sets her sights on Netflix’s ‘The Night Agent’ for its second season. The series, created by Shawn Ryan and based on Matthew Quirk’s bestseller, follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso, manning a phone in the basement of the White House that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

In Season 2, viewers will witness Sutherland’s transition into a full-time Night Agent while navigating his personal relationships, including one with Larkin. Warren steps into the role of Catherine Weaver, an experienced operative overseeing the training of Sutherland, played by Basso.

The upcoming 10-episode installment promises to deliver more intrigue and suspense as it explores new plotlines and introduces a host of captivating characters. Marwan Kenzari portrays Reza, a decorated soldier thrust into the world of covert operations, while Elise Kibler embodies Sloane, a charming British socialite entangled in complex familial dynamics.

Joining the ensemble cast are Brittany Snow as Alice, Peter’s partner and mentor in Night Action, and Berto Colon as Solomon, a former Marine turned indispensable aide to a powerful businessman. Louis Herthum takes on the role of Jacob Monroe, an international businessman with influential connections, and Arienne Mandi stars as Noor, a determined aide at the Iranian mission to the United Nations.

The show’s popularity, evidenced by its substantial viewership on Netflix, has led to a swift renewal and expansion, with filming locations spanning New York City, Thailand, and Washington, D.C. As the series continues to captivate audiences with its riveting storyline, fans eagerly anticipate the unraveling of new mysteries in the upcoming season.

In addition to Shawn Ryan serving as showrunner, the production boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers including Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn, Marney Hochman, Jamie Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Nicole Tossou, and David Beaubaire, ensuring a seamless and compelling viewing experience for audiences worldwide.
