Nicholas Pinnock, who recently starred in “The Book of Clarence,” is set to play the male lead in Peacock’s upcoming limited series, “Long Bright River.” The suspense thriller, an adaptation of Liz Moore’s New York Times bestselling novel, will see Pinnock starring alongside Amanda Seyfried, who not only takes on the lead role but also serves as an executive producer.
The narrative of “Long Bright River” revolves around Mickey (played by Seyfried), a dedicated police officer patrolling a Philadelphia neighborhood deeply affected by the opioid crisis. As a series of murders unfolds in the community, Mickey begins to connect the dots between the crimes and her own personal history. While Pinnock takes on the character of Truman Dawes, specific details about his role are being kept under wraps. The series is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Television and UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Nikki Toscano, known for her work on “The Offer” and “Hunters,” and Liz Moore are set to write and executive produce the series, with Toscano taking on the role of showrunner. The project boasts a stellar lineup of executive producers, including Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Amanda Lewis for Original Film, and Amy Pascal for Pascal Pictures. Russell Rothberg also joins the team as an executive producer, while Hagar Ben-Asher, recognized for “Bad Boy” and “Dead Women Walking,” will direct and executive produce the first episode.
Nicholas Pinnock, who previously gained acclaim for his role in the ABC legal drama “For Life,” produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, has established himself as a versatile actor. His notable TV credits include “Counterpart,” “Top Boy,” “Marcella,” and “Fortitude.” Up next Pinnock will be seen in Steven Knight’s limited series “This Town” for the BBC, as well as Robert Zemeckis’ “Here” and Nia DaCosta’s “Hedda” for Orion Pictures.
Represented by Silver Lining Entertainment, IAG, Independent Talent Group in the UK, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman, Nicholas Pinnock continues to make significant strides in his acting career, promising an engaging and thrilling performance in “Long Bright River.”
