Aml Ameen leads the cast in the feature thriller “Killing of a Nation”
Aml Ameen (“A Man In Full,” “Rustin”) dives headfirst into the political maelstrom of Haiti in the upcoming thriller “Killing of a Nation.”
Ameen takes on the role of Anderson Toussaint, a young American lobbyist navigating the treacherous waters of Haitian politics. Working for a shadowy investment fund, Anderson finds himself granted access to President Jovenel Moïse’s inner circle. But this access comes at a price – a tangled web of corruption and ruthless power struggles. As Haiti’s political situation descends into chaos, the shocking assassination of Moïse sends the nation spiraling further.

Shrouded in secrecy, “Killing of a Nation” recently wrapped filming in Panama under the direction of Mexican director Carlos Bolado (“Under California”) and writer Jimena Gallardo. Details about the production company and release date are still under wraps, but the film promises an adrenaline-pumping ride through political intrigue set against the backdrop of a nation on the brink.
This isn’t Ameen’s first time portraying a character rooted in reality. He recently delivered critically acclaimed performances as Martin Luther King Jr. in the Oscar-nominated film “Rustin” and Jeff Daniels’ counterpart in the Netflix miniseries “A Man In Full.”
