Apple TV+ Unveils Mind-Bending Trailer for ‘Dark Matter’ Ahead of May Release

Apple TV+ has dropped the trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series “Dark Matter,” starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly in lead roles. The series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ starting May 8, with new episodes releasing weekly until June 26, 2024.

The nine-episode Apple Original, based on Blake Crouch’s bestselling novel, will be a journey through alternate realities and the complexities of human choices. Alongside Edgerton and Connelly, the series stars Dayo Okeniyi, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, and Oakes Fegley, adding depth to the multi-layered storyline.

“Dark Matter” revolves around Jason Dessen (played by Joel Edgerton), a physicist, professor, and devoted family man. His life takes a surreal turn when he is abducted into a parallel universe while walking the streets of Chicago. What follows is a mind-bending exploration of the paths not taken and the consequences of one’s choices.

The trailer introduces viewers to a captivating narrative filled with suspense, drama, and the existential question of identity.

“Dark Matter” joins Apple TV+’s impressive lineup of original sci-fi content, including acclaimed series like “Foundation,” “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” “Silo,” “For All Mankind,” and “Invasion.”

The series is helmed by creator and executive producer Blake Crouch, alongside executive producers Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl for Matt Tolmach Productions, with Edgerton also serving as an executive producer.
