Apple TV+ has released the first look and premiere date for 12 12 12, its upcoming eight-episode heist drama starring and executive produced by Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan.
The series unfolds across three timelines that give the show its name: the 12 months of planning leading up to a daring bank heist, the 12 hours of the heist itself, and the 12 days of aftermath that follow. At the center of it all is an epic raid on a vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich, Switzerland. The ensemble cast also includes Kali Reis, Jack Kesy, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, José Garcia, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.
Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent and Dornan plays an American career criminal caught in a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. The first look teaser offers a glimpse of the dynamic between the two. “A high-asset robbery, professionally conceived, is 12 months in planning, 12 hours in execution,” Mackie’s character says. Dornan’s character finishes the thought: “A bank robber who’s not caught within 12 days is not caught at all.”
The series was created and executive produced by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Emmy-nominated and BAFTA-winning filmmaker Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) directs multiple episodes including the pilot and serves as executive producer. Mackie executive produces under his Make It With Gravy production banner alongside Samantha Corbin-Miller, David Knoller and Jason Spire for Inspire Entertainment. Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content produce.
12 12 12 premieres November 13 on Apple TV+ with two episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday through the finale on December 25.
