FX Released the Justified: City Primeval Trailer Starring Aunjanue Ellis, Vondie Curtis Hall, Timothy Olyphant, and More
FX’s highly anticipated limited series, Justified: City Primeval, has unveiled its thrilling trailer, giving fans a glimpse into the gripping world of U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. Returning to reprise his iconic role, Timothy Olyphant leads an impressive ensemble cast including Aunjanue Ellis, Vondie Curtis Hall, Boyd Holbrook, Adelaide Clemens, Marin Ireland, Norbert Leo Butz, Victor Williams, and Vivian Olyphant.
Set seven years after the original Justified series, Raylan Givens finds himself in Miami, juggling his duties as a marshal and being a part-time father to his 14-year-old daughter, Willa (played by Vivian Olyphant). However, a chance encounter on a Florida highway leads him to Detroit, where he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, also known as The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent sociopath portrayed by Boyd Holbrook. Mansell has evaded capture by Detroit’s law enforcement before and is determined to do so again.
Aunjanue Ellis joins the cast as Carolyn, Clement’s lawyer and a native of Motor City. Caught in a precarious situation of representing a criminal while being pursued by a determined lawman, Carolyn navigates her own plans behind the scenes.
In the official trailer, we witness the collision course between Raylan Givens and Clement Mansell, as the former warns the latter to stay away from his daughter. The intense face-off between Givens and Mansell sets the stage for a high-stakes battle in the City Primeval.
Justified: City Primeval draws inspiration from Elmore Leonard’s crime novel, City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit. The series is helmed by showrunners Dave Andron and Michael Dinner, with Timothy Olyphant, Graham Yost, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Taylor Elmore, Chris Provenzano, and V.J. Boyd serving as executive producers. The talented ensemble cast also includes Adelaide Clemens, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Marin Ireland, Norbert Leo Butz, and Victor Williams.
Debuting on July 18, Justified: City Primeval promises an electrifying revival of the beloved series. Executively produced by Olyphant, Andron, Dinner, and Graham Yost, the series is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.
