Babou Ceesay, Diêm Camille, Jonathan Ajayi, and More Join Cast of ‘Alien’ TV Series

FX “Alien” TV series, led by Noah Hawley, has added six new members to its cast: Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, and Adrian Edmondson.

Joining the previously announced stars, the series features Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Samuel Blenkin, and Adarsh Gourav.

This marks the first “Alien” storyline set on Earth, approximately 70 years in the future. Despite a production pause during the recent writers’ strike, scripts were completed, and filming in Thailand began in July. Production is set to resume in early 2024.

The “Alien” franchise, born in 1979 with Ridley Scott’s groundbreaking film, has been a cinematic staple, blending horror and science fiction. The original film, directed by Scott, was both a critical and commercial triumph, setting the stage for a series that became a cornerstone of science fiction cinema.

Over the years, the franchise expanded with sequels like “Aliens” (1986), directed by James Cameron, and subsequent films, contributing to its cultural impact. The suspenseful horror elements, coupled with iconic characters like Ellen Ripley (played by Sigourney Weaver), have solidified “Alien” as a genre-defining and enduring franchise.

The FX series, poised for a 2025 debut, extends this legacy with a fresh narrative and a talented ensemble cast.
