BET Sets 11 for Mockumentary “Lot Patrol” From Manny Halley Productions

BET is pulling the curtains back for its next original comedy. BET has greenlit Lot Patrol, a new original mockumentary comedy series from Manny Halley Productions, starring DeRay Davis, Carl Anthony Payne, Tamera Kissen, and Darius McCrary. The series goes behind the gates of a major Hollywood studio, where the real show is always off camera.

Directed by Erik White, Lot Patrol is set inside the chaotic backlot of a major Hollywood studio, following a mismatched squad of eccentric security guards doing their best to wrangle unhinged actors, rogue crew members, and their own wildly dysfunctional personal lives. Think underpaid dreamers, washed-up has-beens, and borderline con artists just trying to hold it together. Shot in a sharp-witted mockumentary style, the series blends absurd encounters, razor-sharp urban humor, and unexpectedly heartfelt moments — Hollywood from the perspective the industry rarely lets you see.

Skeet Carter, TK Kirkland, Alex Thomas, Nick Nervies, Dawn Raven, Iyana Halley, and G Thang round out the cast. Ernest L. Dancy and Manny Halley serve as chief writers.

Lot Patrol shines a light on the people behind the scenes who keep Hollywood running, told with humor, heart, and a bit of chaos,” Halley said. “It’s a fresh, culturally rooted take on the industry, and we’re excited to partner with BET to bring this story to life.”

A premiere date has not yet been announced.
