BET+ just dropped the official trailer for To Get Her, a suspense-filled original thriller premiering Thursday, May 29 on the streamer.
Starring Amber Stevens West, Ashley A. Williams, and Paige Audrey-Marie Hurd, To Get Her follows three women who must go to unimaginable lengths to rescue a missing child in a foreign country. What begins as a reunion turns into a race against time as a mother, her sister, and her best friend unravel a dark mystery far from home.
The film is directed by Stefano Milla and written by Damien Douglas and Jen Wang. Stevens West stars as Janna, a successful businesswoman and devoted mother determined to find her daughter, Kiana. Williams plays Skyler, Janna’s fiercely loyal sister and a former Muay Thai champion, while Hurd rounds out the trio as Sarayah, a globe-trotting flight attendant with connections that just might save the day.
Once they arrive overseas, the trio senses something is wrong. When Janna’s daughter suddenly disappears, the women realize they can’t wait on local authorities—they’ll have to take matters into their own hands.
The ensemble cast also includes Branden Wellington as Marcus, a calculated hitman hiding behind the facade of a perfect family man; Andre “Chyna” McCoy as Cameron Cage, a tough-as-nails bar owner with military ties and a personal vendetta; and Jhoné Lucas as Cassidy Cage, Cameron’s equally fierce sister who brings heart and heat to the mission.
Executive producers include Jason Harvey, Stefano Milla, and Kurt Van Fossen, with Kevin Weisberg, Ryan D. Adams, Damien Douglas, and Dan Yoon Hyuck Choi serving as producers. Enrico Sabena composed the score.
The film joins BET+’s growing slate of original thrillers, dramas, and cultural content made by and for the Black community. A joint venture between BET and Tyler Perry Studios, the streamer continues to expand its library with content that entertains, empowers, and reflects the diversity of Black stories.
