Brandy Norwood is heading back to Lifetime for another holiday romance, and this time, she’ll once again share the screen with her daughter, Sy’rai Smith.
The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress is set to star in and executive produce Christmas Everyday Again (working title), a sequel to Lifetime’s 2025 holiday film Christmas Everyday. The follow-up recently completed production and will be featured as part of Lifetime’s annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday programming lineup.
Norwood returns as Chicago fashion designer Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, a role that earned her an NAACP Award nomination. Smith reprises her role as Fancy’s younger sister, Belle, while Debbi Morgan returns as their mother, Evelyn. Robert C. Riley is also back as Fancy’s fiancé, Jaylen.
“I’m so excited to step back into Fancy’s world,” Norwood said. “Making Christmas Everyday was such a special experience, and I’m thrilled that audiences will get to continue this journey with these characters.”
The sequel finds Fancy at a major crossroads. As she prepares for a Christmas wedding to Jaylen, the ambitious designer is also focused on protecting the future of her successful boutique. With Evelyn and Belle offering support along the way, Fancy initially believes she can manage both her personal and professional responsibilities.
That balance becomes increasingly difficult when business challenges begin to pile up and a reformed former love unexpectedly reenters her life. Determined to handle everything herself, Fancy begins shutting Jaylen out, putting her relationship and plans for the future at risk.
With Christmas drawing closer, Fancy is forced to confront the emotional baggage she has been carrying and consider whether holding onto the past could jeopardize the life she is trying to build.
Several familiar faces from the original movie are also returning, including Kajuana S. Marie as Deena, Journey Carter as Tia, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman as Germaine, and Lamman Rucker as Richard. Gregory Alan Williams joins the sequel as Earl.
The film is being produced by FOX Entertainment Studios, Relevé Entertainment and Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media Company, for Lifetime. Norwood, Dr. Holly Carter, Ryan Ramsey and Stella Bulochnikov are among the executive producers, alongside Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi and Adam Shepard for FOX Entertainment Studios, Chet Fenster for Motion Entertainment, and Brie Miranda Bryant.
Keesha Brickhouse and Angela Shin serve as producers.
Roger Bobb returns to the director’s chair, while Meg DeLoatch is back as screenwriter, bringing the creative team from the first film together again. FOX Entertainment Global will handle international distribution.
With Norwood back in the lead and Smith once again joining her on screen, Christmas Everyday Again adds another family-centered story to Lifetime’s holiday slate and gives fans of the original film a chance to revisit Fancy and her loved ones for another Christmas chapter.
