Hotel Cocaine is now open for reservations.
MGM+ dropped a tantalizing teaser trailer for the 1970s crime thriller “Hotel Cocaine” and unveiled its final cast lineup. Joining the series are Candy Sanatana and Don Mike, adding depth to the tale of Roman Compte, a Cuban exile, CIA operative, and the manager of Hotel Mutiny, the chic hub of the late ’70s and early ’80s Miami cocaine scene.
The 8-episode series kicks off on June 16 on MGM+, with subsequent episodes airing each Sunday until August 4.
Pedro Giunti, Lola Claire, Matthew Del Negro, Victor Oliveira, Robert Beck, and Sam Robards round out the ensemble. They join previously announced leads Danny Pino, Michael Chiklis, Mark Feuerstein, Yul Vazquez, Tania Watson, Corina Bradley, and Laura Gordon.
Penned by Chris Brancato and helmed by Guillermo Navarro, “Hotel Cocaine” delves into the narrative of Roman Compte (Pino), the overseer of the Mutiny Hotel.
The Mutiny Hotel was a melting pot of glamour and danger, attracting Florida’s elite, international criminals, and government agents alike. At its helm was Compte, striving to maintain order amidst chaos and realizing his American Dream.
Don Mike embodies “Omar,” the Mutiny Club’s gatekeeper, while Santana portrays “Gale,” a crucial figure in Janice’s entourage.
In the teaser, Roman Compte (Danny Pino) beckons viewers to 1978, the dawn of Miami’s cocaine era. He presides over the Mutiny Hotel, where his brother reigns as the city’s top drug lord. Yet, harmony is threatened by the law, embodied by the formidable Michael Chiklis. Audiences can witness the ensuing drama starting June 16, with new episodes airing weekly until the finale on August 4.
