Watson, CBS’s latest medical drama starring Morris Chestnut in the title role is set to premiere Sunday, Jan. 26, right after the AFC Championship game. Watson explores a post-Sherlock life for Dr. John Watson. After the death of Holmes, Watson pivots from crime-solving to running a high-stakes medical clinic that treats rare diseases. But life isn’t as quiet as it seems; Watson’s old nemesis Moriarty continues to cast a long shadow, and a new mystery is always around the corner. Perhaps the most groundbreaking addition to CBS’ lineup is Beyond the Gates, premiering Monday, Feb. 24, 2025. Created by Michele Val Jean, this daytime drama takes place in an affluent Black community in Maryland and follows the Dupree family, a powerful Black dynasty managing legacy, wealth, and hidden secrets. Beyond the Gates shines a light on an upscale world rarely shown on daytime TV, making it a standout addition to CBS’s lineup.
