CBS is bringing opulence and secrets to daytime TV this February with Beyond the Gates, a groundbreaking daytime drama series premiering February 24 from 2 to 3 pm ET/1 to 2 pm PT, with episodes also streaming on Paramount+. Production is already underway in Atlanta, with an all-star cast set to bring this affluent, scandal-laden world to life.
Set in an upscale gated community in Maryland—one of the wealthiest Black communities in the U.S.—Beyond the Gates follows the lives of the Dupree family, a Black dynasty known for their power, prestige, and guarded secrets. Created by Michele Val Jean, the series centers around the intersection of family legacy, hidden tensions, and high society drama, all while showcasing multidimensional Black characters in a world rarely portrayed in daytime television.
Meet The Cast:
Leading the cast, Tamara Tunie (As the World Turns, Law & Order: SVU) stars as Anita Dupree, the matriarch whose rise from humble beginnings in Chicago to wealth and fame as a singer was hard-won. Married to a retired senator, she navigates the complex family dynamics with her two daughters. Daphnee Duplaix (One Life to Live) plays Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, a successful psychiatrist and philanthropist whose seemingly perfect life hides tensions. Karla Mosley (The Bold and the Beautiful) stars as Dani Dupree, Anita’s free-spirited daughter who left a modeling career behind to focus on motherhood as a ‘momager.’
