CBS Renews Entire FBI Franchise Including Flagship Series For Three Seasons

CBS has announced the renewal of its entire FBI franchise for the upcoming 2024-2025 broadcast season. This renewal includes the flagship series “FBI,” which has been extended for an impressive three additional seasons, guaranteeing its presence on screens until the 2026-2027 season.

The network’s decision also includes single-season renewals for spinoffs “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International,” setting the stage for more captivating storytelling in the crime-fighting universe. These renewals mark the sixth season for “Most Wanted” and the fourth for “International,” showcasing the enduring popularity and success of the FBI franchise.

All three dramas are part of the renowned Wolf Entertainment production house led by mega-producer Dick Wolf. Produced in collaboration with Universal Television and CBS Studios, these shows have consistently delivered riveting narratives, compelling action, and a dedicated fanbase that spans multiple seasons.

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach expressed enthusiasm about the continued success of the FBI franchise, stating, “The all-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule.” She credited Dick Wolf and the talented teams for their exceptional storytelling and the captivating allure that has kept viewers engaged over the years.

“FBI” has solidified its position as the third-highest-rated show on CBS and across all broadcast TV, excluding live sports, with an average of 9.11 million viewers in Nielsen’s latest ratings. When considering cross-platform viewing over five weeks, the series boasts an average of 12.3 million viewers, showcasing its widespread appeal.

Similarly, “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International” have seen success, with 10.3 million and 9.6 million viewers, respectively, on a multiplatform basis. These figures represent improvements over previous seasons, highlighting the growing popularity of the franchise.

With these renewals, Wolf Entertainment continues its dominance in scripted broadcast series, with the majority of its lineup set to return for the 2024-2025 season across various networks.
