First look photos have arrived for Kill Jackie, the upcoming revenge thriller starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, with Christine Adams among the cast. The eight-part series is coming to Prime Video in multiple international territories including the UK, and will air on AMC+ in the U.S., launching later this year.
The cast also includes Ron Perlman, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Julian Barratt, Bill Paterson, Óscar Jaenada, Raff Law, Daniel Ings, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Jonathan Cake.
Zeta-Jones plays Jackie Price, a retired drug smuggler who believes she has escaped her dangerous past until she discovers that The Seven Demons, a group of elite hitmen, have been hired to kill her. Jackie sets out to take them down one by one before they can complete their mission.
The series is based on the novel The Price You Pay by Sunday Times bestselling author Nick Harkaway, writing under the pen name Aidan Truhen, who serves as a consultant on the production. The series notably gender-swaps the book’s male protagonist Jack into Jackie. It was co-created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, Peter Lawson and Damon Thomas, the latter known for Killing Eve.
Kill Jackie is produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures. Prime Video holds rights in Austria, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK.
