Colman Domingo is heading back to Netflix. The Emmy winner will star in and executive produce The Headlands House, a thriller limited series that landed at the streamer following a competitive bidding war.
Written and executive produced by Cameron B. Dupont (Yellowjackets), the series follows a gay couple whose marriage begins to fracture after they move into their dream home, only to discover that its prior residents were brutally murdered on the property and that their own lives may now be in danger.
Domingo executive produces alongside Raul Domingo for their Edith Productions, with Patrick Moran serving as executive producer for PKM Productions. The series hails from AMC Studios, marking an expansion into third-party production for the studio.
The project marks Domingo’s third series at Netflix, following the 2024 limited series The Madness and comedy series The Four Seasons, which has earned him two Emmy nominations across two seasons. His relationship with the streamer also extends to film, including his Oscar-nominated performance in Rustin, as well as Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and the upcoming An Innocent Girl.
Domingo’s connection to AMC runs deep as well, most notably through his eight-season run as Victor Strand on Fear the Walking Dead. It is that relationship and Edith Productions’ first-look deal with AMC that brought the studio into the project.
Edith Productions’ credits include Sing Sing, It’s What’s Inside, Dead Man’s Wire and Bottomless Brunch at Colman’s, among others.
