Millie Bobby Brown takes center stage in the recently unveiled teaser trailer for Netflix’s upcoming fantasy film, “Damsel.”
The film, set to release in 2024, features a stellar cast, including Robin Wright, Nick Robinson, Angela Bassett, Ray Winstone, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Mazeau, Joe Roth, and Chris Castaldi contribute to the production, with Brown serving as an executive producer.
Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by Dan Mazeau, the movie follows Brown’s character, a dutiful damsel named Elodie, who initially agrees to marry a handsome prince. However, her fairy-tale romance takes a dark turn when she discovers that she is being used as a sacrifice to settle an ancient debt owed by the royal family.
Bassett is playing Lady Bayford, she is the stepmother to Brown’s Princess Elodie. Robin Wright stars as Queen Isabelle and Ray Winstone as the King.
The teaser, set to Timber Timbre’s “Run From Me,” offers a glimpse into the harrowing trials Elodie faces as she fights for her life. From navigating deadly trials in the woods to escaping a dragon’s fire, Brown’s character relies on her wits and will to survive. The trailer introduces key characters played by Bassett, Wright, Robinson, and others. As well as mysterious figures in dark robes and golden masks.
