Daveed Diggs and Mason Gooding are joining the cast of I Want Your Sex, a new thriller from Gregg Araki and Black Bear Pictures. They will star alongside Olivia Wilde, Cooper Hoffman, and Charli XCX in the provocative film, which wrapped production in Los Angeles.
The movie explores complex themes of desire, power, and obsession. It follows a young man named Elliot, played by Hoffman, who lands a dream job working for Erika Tracy (Wilde), an infamous artist known for pushing boundaries. As Erika pulls Elliot deeper into her world, their relationship spirals into a thrilling, dangerous blend of fantasy and reality that tests the limits of desire and control.

Chase Sui Wonders, Johnny Knoxville, and Margaret Cho also join the cast, rounding out an eclectic lineup for the film, co-written by Araki and Karley Sciortino. Seth Caplan, Araki, Sciortino, and Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler are producing, while John Friedberg, Joanne Roberts Wiles, and Courtney L. Cunniff are executive producers. Black Bear financed the project and holds international rights, with CAA Media Finance overseeing U.S. distribution.
The roles of Diggs and Gooding in I Want Your Sex remain under wraps, but each brings unique credits and strong performances to the ensemble. Diggs, known for his work in Nickel Boys—based on the Pulitzer-winning novel by Colson Whitehead—will also appear in Searchlight’s In the Blink of an Eye and upcoming indie films Magic Hour and A Tree Fell in the Woods. Gooding, widely recognized from the Scream franchise and Love, Simon series, will soon be seen in A24’s Y2K and Spyglass’s Heart Eyes.
With its intriguing storyline and dynamic cast, I Want Your Sex looks set to deliver a striking exploration of seduction and consequence, pushing viewers to question just how far is too far.
