Deyshaun Tucker is set to join the cast of “The Family Business” for its fifth season, premiering on July 4th on BET+. Tucker will guest star as Roman, a troubled neighborhood delinquent desperate to save his mother’s life, who finds himself in a tense confrontation with the powerful Duncan family.
Created by Carl Weber, this season will deliver ten gripping episodes. The action kicks off with a double episode premiere, followed by new episodes every Thursday until the season finale on August 29, 2024.
Directed by Trey Haley, season 5 plunges viewers into a fierce civil war within the Duncan family. The conflict sees patriarch LC Duncan clashing with his son, as the family gathers to celebrate Vegas’s return while grappling with Junior’s departure. LC’s unwavering determination to protect his family sees former allies turning into adversaries, plotting to overthrow The Table. Amidst the turmoil, a mysterious thief leads Rio on a dangerous hunt that threatens to alter the Duncan family’s fate forever. Meanwhile, Paris faces a startling encounter with her ex, Niles Monroe, who re-emerges with a promise of vengeance.
The cast of “The Family Business” includes Ernie Hudson as LC Duncan, the CEO of Duncan Motors, alongside Valarie Pettiford, Darrin Henson, Javicia Leslie, Sean Ringgold, Tami Roman, Arrington Foster, Michael Jai White, Brely Evans, and LisaRaye McCoy. Dylan Weber stars as Nevada Duncan, the teenage son of Vegas and heir to the Duncan leadership, with Yadi Valerio as Consuela Zuniga, Bern Nadette Stanis as Nee Nee Duncan, and Ben Stephens rounding out the ensemble.
The series is executive produced by Hudson, Carl Weber, N.D. Brown, and Trey Haley, with Jeffrey Dumpson, Walter Nixon, Sean Ringgold, Abe Brown, Greg Anderson, and Veronica Nichols serving as producers.
With the drama mounting, season 5 of “The Family Business” will be an intense and thrilling ride and Deyshaun Tucker’s addition adds a new layer of of conflict to the acclaimed series.
