Tubi is shining a light on women’s basketball with the upcoming documentary “SHATTERED GLASS: A WNBPA Story.” The documentary aims to provide a straightforward look into the lives of WNBA players.

Scheduled to debut on January 31, 2024, it’s notable for being the first documentary to feature four WNBA MVP players. The featured MVP players are Jonquel Jones, Nneka Ogwumike, Breanna Stewart, and Sheryl Swoopes. Swoopes was the first player to ever be signed in the WNBA

It is produced by Malka Media Group LLC (MALKA) in partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) and PUMA.

“SHATTERED GLASS” offers insights into their lives on and off the court, exploring aspects such as off-season routines, family dynamics, and the challenges within women’s sports. The documentary is directed by Andrea Buccilla of MALKA, with an all-female team involved in its development, production, and direction.

The executive production team includes figures like Breanna Stewart, Nneka Ogwumike, Jonquel Jones, Jessica McCourt (MALKA), Terri Carmichael Jackson, Rebecca Otto (Wasserman), Faith Suggs (Sports International Group), and Sheryl Swoopes. Erin Gilchrist manages the production.

Executive Producer Terri Carmichael Jackson views “SHATTERED GLASS: A WNBPA Story” as more than a documentary; she sees it as a movement. The film aims to shed light on the stories of these athletes, not just as sports figures but as advocates for change, respect, and inspiration.
