Erika Ringor and Martin Bats Bradford are the latest to join Supermax, David Gordon Green’s action thriller for Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax, which began production today in New South Wales, Australia.
The film is led by Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb as two FBI agents investigating a seemingly impossible murder within the walls of a maximum-security prison.
Jaafar Jackson, Jason Clarke, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and Andrés Almeida also star in the feature. Character details for the new additions are being kept under wraps.
Green directs from a script by David Weil and David J. Rosen. Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman produce for The Picture Company alongside Smith and Adam Fishbach for Westbrook Studios. Weil, Rosen, Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman and James Lassiter and Miguel Melendez for Westbrook Studios executive produce.
Ringor reunites with Smith on the project, having previously worked with him on King Richard, the Warner Bros. film that earned him his first Oscar. She is also known for Love and Basketball, Bosch: Legacy and The Morning Show. Bradford’s credits include Richard Linklater’s Hit Man, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey alongside Samuel L. Jackson and the Sony boxing biopic Big George Foreman.
Supermax will be released on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
