Ayo Edebiri, Busta Rhymes, Tisha Campbell, Among 40+ Guest Stars

Ahead of its Comedy Central premiere the upcoming animated series ‘Everybody Still Hates Chris‘ dropped its trailer and announced over 40 guest stars will lend their voice for the animated reboot. Set to premiere on September 25, the show features an impressive array of talent, including Ayo Edebiri, Busta Rhymes, Tisha Campbell, and Sam Richardson.

Also joining the lineup are talk show icon Sally Jessy Raphael and Bell Biv DeVoe members Ricky Bell, Michael L. Bivins, and Ronald Boyd DeVoe Jr. Additional guest stars include Jaylen Barron, Todd Bridges, Nicole Byer, Monét X Change, Eugene Cordero, Andy Daly, Loretta Devine, Earthquake, Ron Funches, Jaida Essence Hall, Jackée Harry, Phil Hendrie, Dave Herman, Thirstin’ Howl III, Rob Huebel, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Phil Lamarr, Rack-Lo, Jessica Lowe, Vincent Martella, Laraine Newman, Gabrielle Nevaeh, Kevin Michael Richardson, Natasha Rothwell, Latrice Royale, Lindsey Stoddart, Cree Summer, Vanessa Vanjie, and Jenny Yang.

Fans of the original series will be happy to see the return of familiar faces, with Paul Ben-Victor, Mike Estime, Antonio Fargas, Kevontay Jackson, Mikey Kelley, Jacqueline Mazarella, Paulina Singer, and Ernest Thomas all reprising their roles for this animated reboot.

Chris Rock once again narrates as Adult Chris, reflecting on his formative years in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, during the late 1980s. The animated version of Everybody Hates Chris adds a fresh visual style to Rock’s stories, with Tim Johnson Jr. voicing Young Chris. Original cast members Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold return to voice Chris’ hardworking father, Julius, and no-nonsense mother, Rochelle. Rounding out the family are Ozioma Akagha as baby sister Tonya, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as brother Drew, and Gunnar Sizemore as Chris’ best friend Greg.

Produced by CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Productions and Chris Rock Enterprises, the show is helmed by showrunner Sanjay Shah. Rock, alongside original Everybody Hates Chris co-creator Ali LeRoi, and the team from Titmouse Animation Studio, also serve as executive producers.

With the trailer now out and a star-studded guest list, Everybody Still Hates Chris is poised to be one of the fall’s most anticipated animated series.
