Fall 2: Deadpoint Trailer: Arsema Thomas and Harriet Slater Are Trapped 3,000 Feet Above Ground on Thailand’s Most Dangerous Trail

Lionsgate has dropped the trailer for Fall 2: Deadpoint, and if the original gave you vertigo, this one will finish the job. The sequel to 2022’s surprise hit opens exclusively in theaters September 2, 2026, with a new cast, a new location and stakes that are literally higher than before.

The film follows Jax Hunter, played by Harriet Slater, who is still grieving the death of her sister Shiloh from the events of the first film. She recruits her fearless friend Luce, played by Arsema Thomas, to travel to Mount Kwan in Thailand and attempt the area’s notoriously dangerous plank walk as a tribute to Shiloh’s memory. What begins as an act of grief quickly becomes a fight for survival when a rockslide destroys their route and leaves the two stranded 3,000 feet in the air with nothing but exposure, extreme terrain and each other. Tom Brittney co-stars as their guide, who warns them early on that “if it rains, the planks will be too slippery to turn back. From that high up, even your fear has nowhere to go.”

The trailer delivers exactly what it promises. It opens with blunt warnings about what extreme altitude does to the human body before cutting to Slater and Thomas clinging to a rock wall with very little between them and the void below. Vertigo, dehydration and hallucinations all factor into the survival equation as the two attempt to find a way down before their bodies give out.

The original Fall, directed by Scott Mann and written by Mann and Jonathan Frank, earned over $21 million at the global box office against a $3 million budget before finding an even wider audience on streaming. Lionsgate greenlit two sequels off the back of its success. The Spierig Brothers, known for Predestination and Jigsaw, take over directorial duties for the sequel, with Mann and Frank returning to write the screenplay. A third installment has already been greenlit, with Mann returning to direct.
