Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affair Drops Teaser Trailer — Watch Now

The wait is almost over. Amazon MGM Studios has released the teaser trailer for The Thomas Crown Affair, the highly anticipated heist thriller directed by, produced by and starring Michael B. Jordan. The film opens exclusively in theaters March 5, 2027.

Jordan plays Thomas Crown, a billionaire whose carefully orchestrated art heist is just the beginning of a far more personal mission. The teaser hints at a globe-spanning thriller filled with museum heists, European backdrops and high-flying stunts, while emphasizing that the most dangerous man in the room is the one nobody is watching. Opposite Jordan, Adria Arjona plays a sharp insurance investigator capable of matching wits with Crown, continuing the franchise’s signature dynamic of romance and rivalry first defined by Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in the 1968 original and later Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo in the 1999 remake.

Kenneth Branagh plays a powerful figure tied to Crown’s personal motivation, while the ensemble cast also includes Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk and Aiysha Hart.

Behind the camera the film boasts an extraordinary creative team. Cinematographer Bradford Young, costume designer Ruth E. Carter, reuniting with Jordan following previous collaborations, and composer Jon Batiste, who will score the film, round out a team that signals the kind of intentionality and cultural weight Jordan is bringing to the project.

The screenplay is by Drew Pearce and Jason Hall, based on the original by Alan R. Trustman. The film is produced by Jordan, Elizabeth Raposo, Marc Toberoff, Patrick McCormick and Charles Roven through Outlier Society, Atlas Entertainment and a Toberoff Production.

The Thomas Crown Affair opens in theaters March 5, 2027.
