Apple TV+ Drops Trailer for High-Stakes, Globe-Trotting Heist in ‘Fountain of Youth’

Move over, Indiana Jones — there’s a new crew chasing myths and dodging danger. Apple TV+ just dropped the first trailer for Fountain of Youth, a high-octane adventure film that teams up John Krasinski and Natalie Portman as estranged siblings turned reluctant treasure hunters. The film streams Friday, May 23 — so mark your calendars.

In Fountain of Youth, Krasinski plays Luke Purdue, a free-spirited adventurer with just enough charm to get himself into (and hopefully out of) trouble. Portman plays Charlotte, his polar-opposite sister — a buttoned-up curator who’d rather stick to museum walls than chase legends through ancient ruins. But when clues resurface pointing to the mythical spring that promises immortality, the two reunite for one last ride — and what a ride it is.

One story. Five continents. Dozens of cultures over thousands of years.” That’s how Luke sums up the legend. And from the looks of this trailer, he’s not exaggerating.

We’re talking pyramids in Egypt, chase scenes through the streets of London, a fight aboard a train in Thailand, and even an underwater shipwreck sequence — this movie is moving like a passport on a world tour. It’s giving Raiders of the Lost Ark energy with a splash of National Treasure chaos and sibling squabble. And honestly? We’re here for all of it.

Joining the globetrotting duo is a stacked cast:

  • Laz Alonso (The Boys)
  • Carmen Ejogo (The Penguin)
  • Eiza González (3 Body Problem)
  • Domhnall Gleeson (The Patient)
  • Arian Moayed (Succession)
  • Benjamin Chivers as Charlotte’s curious son
  • And the legendary Stanley Tucci, who pops up with sage advice and a wink.

Gleeson plays Owen Carver, a mysterious billionaire who’s bankrolling the expedition — but you know how that goes… money always comes with strings. Meanwhile, Tucci’s character warns everyone not to let the secret of the fountain get out, and González’s Esme is throwing knives and making sure it doesn’t.

Directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes), the film blends ancient mystery with modern madness. Ritchie describes it as “Indiana Jones but contemporary” — and if that means more knife fights, slick suits, and snappy dialogue, we’re all in.

But Fountain of Youth isn’t just about the chase — it’s also about family, legacy, and the bonds we can’t outrun. Krasinski says Luke is following in the footsteps of their late archaeologist father, who believed in the journey more than the treasure. And while Charlotte starts out skeptical, her son Thomas might just be the one to convince her there’s more to this myth than fairy tales.

Of course, no good heist is complete without a little danger. And as Luke and Charlotte race against time — and a few shadowy enemies — they’ll have to decide what they’re really willing to risk for a shot at eternal life.

Natalie Portman shared that filming was nothing short of epic: “I’d never been to Cairo or Vienna before and was blown away. We had wild chase scenes in Liverpool and even shot a sunken ship sequence in London. Every day was a new adventure.”

From ancient legends to sibling squabbles, this film has all the makings of a summer thrill ride — with some heart to boot.

Fountain of Youth hits Apple TV+ on Friday, May 23 —  Will you be hopping on this adventure train? Let us know.

And if immortality’s on the line — would you take a sip?
