Amazon MGM Studios Releases Trailer for Gabrielle Union-Produced Romance Film ‘The Idea of You’ Based on Robinne Lee’s Novel

Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for “The Idea of You,” a film produced by Gabrielle Union and Anne Hathaway. The movie, directed by Michael Showalter, is based on Robinne Lee’s book and follows the unexpected romance between a middle-aged woman, played by Hathaway, and the 20-something lead singer of the world’s biggest boy band, August Moon, portrayed by Nicholas Galitzine.

The plot revolves around Solène, a 40-year-old single mom who encounters Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of August Moon, during a chance encounter at the Coachella Music Festival. As they embark on a whirlwind romance, the challenges of their age difference and Hayes’ superstar status test the strength of their relationship. The film’s ensemble cast includes Ella Rubin, Annie Mumolo, Reid Scott, Perry Mattfeld, Jordan Aaron Hall, Mathilda Gianopoulos, Raymond Cham Jr., Jaiden Anthony, Viktor White, and Dakota Adan.
