School is back in session—and it’s anything but normal at Godolkin University.
Prime Video has finally dropped the first teaser for Gen V Season 2, the electric spinoff of The Boys, confirming the series will return on September 17 with the first three episodes. New episodes will drop every Wednesday until the finale on October 22.
This season, the world outside Godolkin is under Homelander’s iron-fisted rule. But inside the elite superhero college, things are just as twisted. Enter Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), the mysterious new head of God U, whose teachings promise to push the students to be more powerful than ever. Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Sean Patrick Thomas are all back to navigate the chaos.
The trailer also grapples with real-life tragedy—Chance Perdomo’s sudden passing in March 2024. Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, is honored in the new footage as his father Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas) searches for answers and demands justice. Andre’s absence looms large as the gang returns to a campus that’s been completely transformed.
No more parties and frat houses—this time, the students find themselves locked in Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center, forced to wear collars that suppress their powers. When they’re let back into Godolkin, they discover a school fully leaning into a fascist, gladiator-style program. Humans wear ID badges, checkpoints keep everyone in line, and Cipher preaches that these young supes are now “soldiers.”
But amid the war brewing between humans and supes, the gang stumbles upon a secret program that ties all the way back to Godolkin’s founding. And somehow, Marie is right at the center of it.
Season 2 was almost derailed after Perdomo’s death, but showrunner Michele Fazekas and executive producer Eric Kripke decided not to recast Andre. Instead, they reimagined the storylines to honor Perdomo’s legacy. As Kripke told EW, “It’s the least we could do.”
Gen V is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, alongside Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film. Fazekas, Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, and a stacked list of executive producers are all back.
