Hulu has unveiled seven first-look photos and a premiere date for The Land, the new NFL drama from This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman. The series debuts February 15, 2027, the day after the Super Bowl, with the first two episodes dropping at 9 p.m. PT, followed by weekly episodes.

Set inside the world of the NFL, The Land follows two families whose fates are tied to the fictional Cleveland Browns. Christopher Meloni stars as head coach Danny Roarke, who’s given one last shot to turn the team around after a string of disappointing seasons, a shot that hinges on his newly drafted Ohio State quarterback son, played by Sam Corlett. William H. Macy plays team owner Hal Durkin, who must decide which of his two daughters, played by Mandy Moore and Chloe Bennet, is best equipped to eventually take over the franchise. Chace Crawford plays the team’s new general manager. Omar Epps rounds out the cast alongside Tanner Zagarino and Bridget Moynahan.

Fogelman brings a track record of embedding real sports access into his storytelling. For his earlier series Pitch, he worked closely with Fox and MLB to tell the story of the first female pitcher in the league, securing significant access to Dodger Stadium and Petco Park. For The Land, Meloni visited the real Browns’ headquarters in Berea, Ohio in August 2025 to prepare for the role, telling the Cleveland Browns Daily podcast he was taking in information “through a firehose” to understand the team’s internal relationships and culture. Production filmed on location in Cleveland twice, first in November 2025 and again in April 2026.

The Land is produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, with Fogelman serving as creator, executive producer, and showrunner. Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, and Justin Adler also executive produce, alongside David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed for Skydance Sports.

With the real Cleveland Browns still chasing their own path to Super Bowl LXI, the fictional version arrives right behind them, giving football fans a scripted landing spot the moment the actual season ends.
