Gigi Zumbado and Curtis Hamilton are among five new additions to the cast of Prime Video’s Rose Hill, joining Siobhan McGroarty, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, and West Mulholland in the latest round of casting.
Based on the best-selling book series by Elsie Silver, Rose Hill follows best friends and neighbors West Belmont (Jake Weary), a rancher with commitment issues, and Ford Grant (Sean O’Pry), a brooding record label owner once named Forbes’ “World’s Hottest Billionaire,” who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rose (Hannah Galway). Things heat up further when country-pop star Skylar Stone (Sadie Dickerson) arrives in their mountain town.
Zumbado and Hamilton join in recurring guest roles, playing Tabitha and Bash Rousseau, respectively. Zumbado’s credits include the CBS comedy DMV, Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, Apple’s She’s Fine, Starz’s Hightown, and Epix’s Bridge and Tunnel. Hamilton made his lead debut in the Sony and Lifetime biopic Surviving Compton, went on to a series regular role on OWN’s The Kings of Napa, and recurred in the final season of HBO’s Insecure.
McGroarty, Reid-Gantzert, and Mulholland join as series regulars, playing Cora, Emmy Belmont, and Oliver Belmont. McGroarty has made guest appearances on Law & Order and VHS: Kidprint. Reid-Gantzert most recently recurred on Netflix’s Free Bert, with additional credits including Hulu’s Death and Other Details and Netflix’s Scaredy Cats and The Babysitters Club; she also led the film Popular Theory. Mulholland recurred on TNT’s Animal Kingdom and has guest credits on FX’s Legion, Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere, and ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, alongside film roles in Steven Soderbergh’s Presence, Angelo Pizzo’s Bloomington, and Xavier Tera’s The Color of Sun.
Heidi Cole McAdams serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the series. Marc Webb will direct the pilot and second episode and also executive produces. Silver executive produces alongside Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman for Temple Hill, with Temple Hill’s Annika Patton serving as co-executive producer.
