Hallmark Announces 48 New Holiday Movies — Here’s 5 to Add to Your Watchlist

Hallmark is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its “Countdown to Christmas” with a sleigh-load of holiday cheer! This year the network has released an impressive 48 brand-new holiday films.

While the list is filled with cozy romances and heartwarming stories, we’re focusing on the films that feature Black leads, highlighting the diversity within the holiday magic. Here are the movies you’ll want to add to your watchlist:

Scouting For Christmas

Premiere Date: Oct. 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
Cast: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Carlo Marks, Marci T. House

Angela, a busy realtor and single mom, finds herself caught between her ex-husband Dakota, a globe-trotting paleontologist, and William, a local baker her daughter’s scout troop adores. As Angela navigates her growing feelings for William and Dakota’s sudden return, she must decide what’s best for her heart and her daughter.

 

The 5-Year Christmas Party

Premiere Date: Oct. 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
Cast: Katie Findlay, Jordan Fisher

Alice and her old theater school rival, Max, reunite each Christmas season to work at a Chicago catering company’s holiday parties. Over the years, their chemistry grows, but the timing is never right for romance. As the company prepares for its final season, Alice and Max are forced to confront their true feelings, just in time for Christmas.

 

Unwrapping Christmas

Premiere Date: Nov. 14 on Hallmark+

Mia, an accountant at All Wrapped Up, is shocked when local celebrity Beau Cavanaugh, who looks just like her favorite romance novel hero, enters her life. Despite his wealthy family’s disapproval, Beau proves his feelings for Mia are real, sweeping her into a fairytale romance just in time for the holidays.

 

Christmas on Call

ER doctor Hannah is falling for EMT Wes during a whirlwind holiday season in Philadelphia. Between work and festive fun, their bond grows as they juggle the challenges and joys of being first responders. Together, they find moments of happiness amidst the holiday chaos.

Trading Up Christmas

Premiere Date: Dec. 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
Cast: Italia Ricci, Michael Xavier

Michelle dreams of making her sister’s Christmas wish come true by trading her way up from a stocking to a new home. While her ambitious plan gains media attention, local reporter Dan starts to fall for her. But when everything seems to fall apart, Dan’s belief in Michelle reignites hope, leading to a heartwarming holiday miracle.
