The highly praised Off-Broadway cast of the musical “Hell’s Kitchen” is set to make its Broadway debut. The announcement, made by producer AKW Productions, revealed the cast that will grace the Broadway staging.

The story is inspired by Keys’ life but not strictly biographical and written by Kristoffer Diaz. The story centers on 17-year-old Ali and her mother, sharing a cramped apartment near Times Square. Ali wants to live out her NYC dream, but Mom is scared her daughter will repeat her own mistakes.

The cast of the off-Broadway production will reprise their roles for Hell’s Kitchen Broadway run. Leading the cast will be newcomer Maleah Joi Moon in the central role of Ali, with Tony-nominated actors Shoshana Bean as Jersey and Brandon Victor Dixon as Davis. Rounding out the principal company will be Chris Lee as Knuck and Kecia Lewis as Miss Liza Jane.
