Alongside dropping the trailer for Hulu’s upcoming comedy series, “How to Die Alone,” the series also unveiled a fresh wave of talent joining its ensemble cast.
The half-hour comedy series from Onyx Collective, which explores themes of love, self-acceptance, and personal growth, already boasts a strong core cast featuring Conrad Ricamora, Jocko Sims, and KeiLyn Durrel Jones alongside Rothwell. Bashir Salahuddin will also appear in a recurring role.
Now, ten new actors join the fun in a recurring capacity.
The newly announced recurring cast members include Chris “CP” Powell, Elle Lorraine, Michelle McLeod, Ellen Cleghorne, Arkie Kandola, Jaylee Hamidi, Melissa DuPrey, Michael Hartney, Glenn Fleary, and Jackie Richardson.
‘How to Die Alone’ centers on Mel, portrayed by Rothwell, a broke, fat, Black employee at JFK airport who has never been in love and has forgotten how to dream. An accidental brush with death sends her on a journey to start living life by any means necessary.

Behind the scenes, Rothwell and Vera Santamaria serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, alongside Desiree Akhavan and Jude Weng. “How to Die Alone” is produced by ABC Signature in association with Big Hattie Productions.
A tantalizing trailer for the series has dropped, offering fans a glimpse into the comedic chaos and heartfelt moments that await. “How to Die Alone” premieres on Hulu on September 13th with four episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday.
