Jaalen Best has joined the roster at M88, securing representation as he gears up for his biggest role yet.
Founded in 2020 by former WME partner Phillip Sun and Macro founder and CEO Charles D. King, M88 is committed to championing underrepresented voices across Hollywood. The firm, led by Sun alongside partners Oronde Garrett and Gaby Mena, boasts an impressive client list that includes Taraji P. Henson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Simu Liu, Gemma Chan, Damson Idris, Winston Duke, Kelly Marie Tran, Issa López, Naomi Scott, Carlos López Estrada, Blitz Bazawule, and Lance Gross.
Best is set to portray Cassius Clay—who the world would later know as Muhammad Ali—in The Greatest, Amazon’s upcoming scripted series chronicling the life and legacy of the boxing icon. He will star alongside Omari Hardwick and The project, helmed by Cross creator Ben Watkins, is the first authorized scripted take on Ali’s story and will explore his rise in and out of the ring as he cements his status as the “Greatest of All Time.”
Ali’s estate played a key role in bringing the series to life, with his widow, Lonnie Ali, serving as an executive producer alongside Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. Jordan, also an M88 client, is lending his industry muscle to the project, further amplifying its authenticity and significance.
Best is already a familiar face to TV audiences, known for his recurring role as Ryan Craig on All American: Homecoming. He’s also made appearances in Magnum P.I. and American Horror Stories.
Along with M88, Best continues to be repped by WME and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher LLP.
With The Greatest on the horizon, Best is stepping into a career-defining moment—one that will introduce him to a global audience and honor the legacy of one of the most legendary figures in sports and culture.
