Jabari Banks is heading to Netflix. The Bel-Air star has joined the cast of Myron Bolitar, the upcoming drama series based on Harlan Coben’s beloved 12-book series, alongside Chloe Fineman and Jamie McShane as series regulars and Ben McKenzie as a recurring guest star.
The series follows Myron Bolitar, played by Colin Woodell, a former college basketball star whose NBA career comes to an abrupt end. Forced to reinvent himself, Myron builds MB Sports, a sports agency rooted in an unwavering belief in overlooked athletes. Using charm, smarts and a ruthless partner, he navigates the high-stakes and dirty world of professional sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself.
Banks plays Dwayne Richmond, a charismatic tennis prodigy expected to become one of the best players in the world and the star client at MB Sports, complete with signature shoes and trademarked sunglasses. Fineman plays Parker Quinn, a sports reporter who has built a sterling reputation through hard work and passion for the game. McShane plays Detective Ray Dimonte, a seasoned NYPD homicide detective. McKenzie plays Gavin Pierce, one of the biggest agents in sports and a man with unfinished business with Myron dating back to the injury that ended his career.
They join KJ Apa as Win Lockwood, the unflappable and fiercely loyal best friend who built something of his own alongside Myron and is the one he turns to when clients find themselves in trouble, and Diane Guerrero as Esperanza Diaz, a former professional wrestler turned Myron’s indispensable right hand at MB Sports and the steady force keeping both Myron and his clients in check.
First appearing in Coben’s 1995 novel Deal Breaker, Bolitar has gone on to appear in 12 books where he has found himself investigating blackmail, murder and everything in between.
Emmy and Golden Globe-winning writer and producer David E. Kelley, whose credits include Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent and Margo’s Got Money Troubles, co-showruns and executive produces alongside Kyle Long, known for Suits and Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. Greg Yaitanes, known for Presumed Innocent and House of the Dragon, will direct multiple episodes and executive produce.
The series marks the latest chapter in Netflix and Coben’s long-running creative partnership, which dates back to 2018 and has yielded more than 13 adaptations. Coben’s most recent Netflix adaptation, I Will Find You, became the platform’s biggest original scripted debut of 2026, hitting number one for four consecutive weeks on the English TV list and number one in 80 countries, earning 74 million total views by its third week.
A premiere date for Myron Bolitar has not yet been announced.
