Filmmaker Jahmar Hill is set to bring some much-needed warmth to the holiday season with his upcoming feature, First Christmas Home. Written, directed, produced, and starring Hill, the heartfelt drama is slated for a December 2025 release. While a network has yet to be announced, the project is already generating early buzz thanks to its timely message and strong creative foundation.
Hill is joined on screen by Shawn Wells and Latoya Ward, who also serves as executive producer. Gabriella Arlene and Aundre Dean round out the ensemble cast.
First Christmas Home follows a family navigating long-buried secrets and unresolved tensions as they attempt to reunite during the holidays. Through moments of laughter, conflict, and emotional revelation, the story explores themes of forgiveness, unity, and what it truly means to come home. With its blend of emotional depth and seasonal charm, the film aims to resonate with audiences across generations.
“This story captures the essence of the holiday spirit — hope, reconciliation, and the beauty of coming together,” said Hill. “Working with local talent like Mister E and drawing on the creative energy in Dallas, we’re proud to create something that’s not only entertaining but also meaningful.”
The film is produced under Hill’s banner, Jahmar Hill Productions, and marks a strategic partnership with Dallas-based filmmaker Mister E of Infinite Visuals. Their collaboration highlights a shared commitment to amplifying local voices while investing in the city’s growing film community.
First Christmas Home is one of several projects in development under Jahmar Hill Productions. Hill is also set to release Mya’s House, a psychological thriller he wrote and directed, which stars Yahne Coleman in her film debut alongside Hill, Nick Mangino, Heidy Javier, Aundre Dean, and Sade Whiting.
Additionally, Hill will appear in Last Ride, a dramatic feature that continues his momentum as a multi-hyphenate storyteller. The film stars Taye Diggs, Sharon Leal, Tobias Truvillion, and Erica Mena, with a supporting cast that includes Markice Moore, Troy Brookins, Joeisha Jefferson, Rocket West, Kadeshia Samuels, Mia Mendez, Francesca “Fancy” Mars, and Ashaya Laurel.
Jahmar Hill Productions remains committed to bold, innovative storytelling that uplifts underrepresented narratives while cultivating opportunities within the independent film landscape—particularly in Dallas, where Hill continues to build a powerful creative network. With First Christmas Home, Hill once again proves that meaningful stories can start right at home and still reach hearts everywhere.
