Myles Bullock Joins Hulu’s New ‘Prison Break’ Pilot as Series Regular

Hulu’s Prison Break pilot is stacking up talent—and it’s looking like the yard is about to be full.

Myles Bullock (Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, BMF) is the latest to join the 20th Television reboot as a series regular and he’s not walking in alone. Clayton Cardenas (Mayans M.C., Mayor of Kingstown), JR Bourne (Mayans M.C., Teen Wolf), and Georgie Flores (Dumplin’, Into the Dark) have also been cast as series regulars, adding even more grit to the upcoming pilot.

The new faces join previously announced leads Emily Browning, Lukas Gage, and Drake Rodger, rounding out a cast that feels like a powder keg ready to blow.

So what’s the setup? This reimagining of Prison Break is set in the same universe as the original FOX series, but it’s not a direct continuation. That means no Michael Scofield or Lincoln Burrows (at least not right now). Instead, the story shifts focus to a new cast of characters caught in the chaos of one of the most dangerous prisons in America. First announced in late 2023, the pilot was officially greenlit back in December.

Now, let’s break down who’s who in this gritty new world:

  • Myles Bullock steps in as Darius “Red” Lewis, another prisoner navigating life behind bars.
  • Clayton Cardenas will play Ghost, a ruthless inmate who sounds like trouble with a capital T.
  • Georgie Flores takes on the role of Andrea, a female cadet in training to become a corrections officer.
  • JR Bourne is playing Junior, a mentally unstable survivor of a prison break that shook the entire town.
  • Emily Browning plays Cassidy Collins, an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who’s trying to keep the peace in a place where peace barely exists.
  • Lukas Gage is Jackson, a fresh-faced politician on his first congressional run.
  • Drake Rodger stars as Tommy, an inmate who’s been locked up for a decade.

The original Prison Break—which ran from 2005 to 2009 before returning for a limited series in 2015—follows Michael Scofield’s elaborate plan to bust his brother Lincoln out of death row. It was a cultural staple and apparently still hits, as it ranked as the No. 1 most-streamed series in the U.S. this past August, according to Nielsen. All episodes are currently streaming on Hulu, just in case you want to revisit the OG before diving into this new chapter.

Elgin James is executive producing under his Sierra Drive banner, alongside original series EPs Dawn Olmstead, Paul Scheuring (who created the original series), Marty Adelstein, and Neal Moritz. So yes, the DNA is still there—but this reboot isn’t afraid to get its hands dirty with something new.

And for fans of Mayans M.C., this reunion hits different. Cardenas and Bourne are once again teaming up with Mayans co-creator Elgin James, who’s running point as writer and executive producer for this new Prison Break chapter. Bourne also worked with James way back on his indie feature debut, Little Birds, so this isn’t their first creative rodeo.

Hulu and 20th Television are clearly building something bold—and if this cast is any indication, the new Prison Break might just be one to watch with your jaw clenched and your snacks close. Stay tuned.
