The sequel to the BET original brings back Ciera Angelia, KD Aubert, and Lil Mama while adding a wave of fresh faces.
Independent filmmaker Jahmar Hill is making moves. Sisters 2, the sequel to his BET original crime drama, is officially gearing up for production — and the cast is taking shape.
Reprising their roles as the original sisters are Ciera Angelia, KD Aubert, and Lil Mama, with De’Aundre Bonds, LaToya Ward, Heidy Javier, and Hill himself also returning to the fold.
Joining them is an expanded roster of 12 new cast members: Koffee Hill, Jalen B. Hawkins, Melanie Halfkenny, Jamaal Lewis, Christina Cooper, Kiami DeVeal, Lisette Meux, K Shiday, Kenisha Pinckney, Dawn Raven Evans, Kadeisha Samuels, Joeisha Jefferson, and Francesca Mars. Hill and BMG Casting are still finalizing the full lineup.
The original Sisters, directed by and starring Hill, followed three cousins — Diamond, Tia, and Tara — who turn to dangerous criminal activity to cover their grandmother’s cancer treatment costs. The gritty crime thriller landed on both Tubi and BET+ and built a loyal fanbase that has been eagerly awaiting a follow-up.
While a studio partner has not yet been announced, Hill is aiming for a theatrical release in 2027.
In the meantime, Hill is bringing the Sisters community together for a special fan-centered event — Sisters Day — on May 16th in Los Angeles. The full-day experience includes a Sister to Sister Brunch, a private screening with Q&A and industry panel, and an exclusive after party with red carpet, music, and a surprise performance. A VIP All-Access Pass is available for $200, with individual ticketed events starting at $25.
