Jamie Foxx is taking his comedic talents to Hulu for the first time. Hulu has announced the title, premiere date and first look photo for the Academy Award-winning actor and comedian’s new stand-up special. Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself premieres October 7, 2026, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US, and on Disney+ internationally.
The special is part of Hulu’s Hularious comedy banner, which includes specials from Hannah Berner, Ralph Barbosa, Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Jim Gaffigan, Zarna Garg, Nikki Glaser, Ilana Glazer, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Kumail Nanjiani, Atsuko Okatsuka, Frankie Quinones, Andrew Santino and Roy Wood Jr.
The return to stand-up follows his 2024 Netflix special What Had Happened Was…, in which he addressed his 2023 medical emergency. Take Care of Yourself is billed as his most honest and evolved chapter yet.
Foxx has a busy slate ahead. He stars in Deadlocked, a high-stakes action thriller for Amazon MGM Studios directed by Nikhil Bhat, in which he plays a grieving former Marine serving jury duty whose trial turns into a courthouse hostage crisis. He also wrapped production on Fight for ’84, a Netflix biographical sports drama directed by Andres Baiz, in which he plays Master Sergeant Roosevelt Sanders, tasked with training a makeshift US boxing team in the wake of tragedy. He additionally remains attached to star as Al Simmons in Blumhouse’s King Spawn.
On television, Foxx returned as host and executive producer of Beat Shazam alongside his daughter Corinne for the show’s eighth season on Fox, which premiered in July 2026.
