Jasmine J. Johnson’s horror short Floral Remains is among the ten tales premiering as part of Tubi’s new short-form anthology series Bite Size Terror, launching October 2.
Written and directed by Johnson, Floral Remains follows a grieving daughter who returns to her late mother’s macabre flower shop, where the dead are preserved in bloom, demanding one final message from beyond, only to discover some goodbyes are better left buried. The short stars Courtney Taylor (Abbott Elementary), Jamela Asha (I Love LA), and Susan Louise O’Connor (The Cleaning Lady).
Her episode joins nine other shorts rounding out the anthology’s debut season:
- “The Deep End” — A babysitter times a child’s underwater trick in a backyard pool, only to realize something is wrong when he resurfaces silent, unblinking, and not quite himself.
- “Marisol” — At her older sister’s funeral, a grieving teen defies a family taboo hoping to reach the dead, only to discover the voice calling back may not belong to her sister at all.
- “Kachina” — A rental makeover influencer hired to transform a desert home disrespects the owner’s sacred family doll, turning her picture-perfect redesign into a blood-soaked reckoning.
- “Resonance” — While clearing out her late father’s house during a storm, a grieving woman discovers his final experiment: a signal spreading through water that turns the exposed into vessels for something inhuman.
- “Mother Marrow” — A young couple discovers an old matchmaking card game inside their rental RV, where every question forces a darker confession, until they realize the game is testing whether their love deserves to survive.
- “Sucker” — After a broke motel clerk is bitten by a bat, her petty scams turn bloodier when a guest with a valuable antique reveals a bigger world of valuables, victims, and opportunity.
- “Marissa’s Office” — After years as the perfect assistant to a powerful magazine editor with a taste for ambitious young women, Beth weaponizes her own body to claim the promotion she’s already paid for in blood.
- “Book Club” — A painfully polite woman joins an aspirational book club, only to discover its sadistic initiation will continue until she finally learns to say no.
- “Come Home” — A lonely boy searches the city for offerings to feed the creature hidden in his apartment, desperate for the fleeting moments after each sacrifice when the monster gives him back something that feels like home.
The series comes from executive producer Peter Rice and GJMD Studio, joining the platform’s Terror on Tubi hub, and marks Tubi’s answer to the short-form horror format previously explored in Hulu’s Bite Size Halloween. Each of the anthology’s ten episodes will premiere exclusively on Tubi October 2 across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Bite Size Terror is produced by GJMD Studio and executive produced by Rice, David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and David Moore. The Terror on Tubi hub also includes originals Buzzkill and R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2.
